Donors to the CAMH Foundation help to improve the lives of those facing mental illness and addiction. Thanks to their generosity, CAMH is able to carry out groundbreaking research, make advances in education and health promotion and provide clients with the best of care. Take a moment to meet our donors and be inspired.
A few years ago, Margaret Kittel Canale, a publishing developer for Policy, Education and Health Promotion at CAMH, came up with the concept for CocoBella, her own line of chic, handmade jewelry. The idea for marketing the jewelry was generated in response to people’s interest in the pieces that she wore.
As a CAMH employee, Margaret is familiar with the stigma that often surrounds people with mental health and substance use problems. With the rising popularity of her designs, she decided to donate a portion of the ongoing proceeds of CocoBella to CAMH. “It is very rewarding to build on a business that I enjoy tremendously by contributing to an important cause.”
All pieces in the CocoBella collection are one of a kind, and Margaret often custom designs pieces according to her clients’ specifications. For more information about the CocoBella jewelry collection, please e-mail margaret@cocobella.ca.
CAMH's Transforming Lives Awards is an important fundraising and awareness event that honours extraordinary people who are courageously living with mental illness and/or addiction, and who now serve as models of and inspiration to others.
