Donors to the CAMH Foundation help to improve the lives of those facing mental illness and addiction. Thanks to their generosity, CAMH is able to carry out groundbreaking research, make advances in education and health promotion and provide clients with the best of care. Take a moment to meet our donors and be inspired.
On Wednesday, October 3, 2006, CAMH launched the Canadian Strengthening Families for the Future Program (SFF), thanks in part, to a generous donation of $100,000 from Sun Life Financial. The donation has enabled the Child, Youth and Family Program at CAMH to run the SFF in collaboration with community partners in the GTA and to provide support to SFF's.
"We give priority to innovative programs that focus on improving the health of communities; especially those that emphasize healthy lifestyles," says Linda MacKenzie, Director or Philanthropy at Sun Life Financial. "CAMH's Strengthening Families for the Future program does just that; it demonstrates pro-active initiatives that will provide long-term results."
Sun Life Financial's philosophy on health and well-being is simple: Prevention is the key to a healthier future. This direct approach stems from a long history of philanthropic support for matters of health throughout the community and beyond.
