The CAMH Foundation raises funds in support of the CAMH mission and vision. Your gifts help to improve the lives of those who face mental illness and addiction, and help to create communities in which these people can access support and thrive.
The $100 Million Transforming Lives Campaign
The $100 million dollar redevelopment will transform the face of addiction and mental health treatment, bringing new pride to our institution and our city. We’re building a neighbourhood centred on care – an urban setting with streets, parks and a healthy mix of uses and activities. Gone will be the atmosphere of stigma that hangs over the current site, replaced with a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment that empowers our clients and staff. We need your help to transform CAMH.
What We Do Together
Donors to the CAMH Foundation improve the lives of those facing mental illness and addiction, by enabling CAMH to provide the very best in research and care for our clients. Our donors pave the way for innovation and discovery, and enable CAMH health professionals to respond quickly and effectively to needs and opportunities as they arise, assuring that our ongoing needs will be met. Chairs of learning, state-of-the art equipment, research fellowships, bioethics, and initiatives in client care are just a few areas where our donors have opened doors to better care and research.
In addition to raising funds, together we create a better world for those facing mental illness and addiction by increasing awareness and acceptance of these conditions. Our special events such as the Transforming Lives Awards, our publications, and our giving programs like Light Up a Life and Gifts of Light, all help to fight the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction.
